Bio

Nick Paulson is the Gardner Hinderliter Professor in Farm Management and Associate Head in the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics at the University of Illinois. Paulson teaches undergraduate courses in the areas of small business finance, business planning, and international agribusiness. His research and extension programs are focused on finance, risk management, and policy as they relate to commercial agriculture. He earned his MS and PhD in economics from Iowa State University, and is originally from southeastern Minnesota where he grew up on his family’s grain farm.
